Transmutation spells change the properties of some creature, thing, or condition.

Practical application- Most transmuters were transfixed on turning lead to gold for their king. However to date only a select few have accomplished this feat requiring immense exertion. A transmuter can do just about anything involving a physical object being altered. In a more tame sense he can perhaps turn water to wine or bread to toast however in a more active sense the transmuter can channel the strength of a bull or the iron grip of an orc. A skilled transmuter can change wood to stone and back again or can change the physical properties of leather to be hard as slate. One transmuter was said to completely disintegrate his opponents weapon to a fine powder which blew away in the wind and resolidified metres away from it’s original position.

Casting - Transmuters usually need to be touching that which they mean to affect. They can however perform rituals to change the state of multiple things at once. Many tankards of water to ice or many stones to splinters of wood.
